Kingston SE is located on the South East coast of South Australia and is approximately 300 km from Adelaide, South Australia's capital city.  Kingston SE offers supurb safe beaches, tourist facilities, parks and gardens, extensive sporting and recreational facilities, is located close to the Mt. Benson / Cape Jaffa wine region and offers excellent and safe recreational fishing.  The district has many national parks including the world recognised Coorong.  Cape Jaffa is a small settlement approximately 25 km south of Kingston SE, where the rock lobster fishing fleet is located.

Invitation to Make Submissions

Pursuant to Section 122(4) of the Local Government Act 1999, Council is reviewing its’ Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan sets directions, general targets and goals for Council over a four year period. The current plan can be viewed at www.kingstondc.sa.gov.au/page.aspx?u=156 or copies are available to read or purchase from Council’s office, 29 Holland Street, Kingston SE SA 5275.
Council invites the community to make written submissions to Council for consideration for the revised Strategic Plan. Submissions are to be sent to:

The period for submissions commences on Monday, 12 December 2011 and concludes on Friday, 17 February 2012. A further period of consultation will be undertaken in 2012 prior to finalising a revised Strategic Plan.

The option to pay rates via the website with a credit card has been withdrawn, due to excessive cost and the low numbers of ratepayers using this payment method.
All other payment methods remain including B-Pay, via post, in person, by phone and direct debit payments.
