Kingston Community School Library
The Kingston Community School Library provides a free library service to the Kingston and district community. Located in the surroundings of the Kingston Community School, members of the public are welcome to visit the Library anytime during opening hours.
During the School Term
Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm
Saturday 9.30 am to 12.30 pm

Monday to Friday 9.30am - 12:30pm, 1pm - 4:30pm
Saturday 9.30am to 12.30pm
* The Library is closed for all Public Holidays, as well as the week between Christmas and New Year.
The library has an extensive reference section and the staff will endeavour to answer readers queries. When information is not available in the library, other services can be utilised through the Public Library network.
Encyclopedias, CD Roms, dictionaries and directories, including South Australian and interstate telephone directories, are available for use in the library.
Library Membership is free to all. If you are under 18 years of age, applications for library cards must be signed by a parent or guardian.
Internet and EMAIL facilities are available, a time limit of 30 minutes applies if demand is great. Children under the age of 18 must have written partental consent to use the Library Internet facilities. Wireless internet is available for those with their own laptops, but charging facilities are not able to be provided. A printer is available for use at a reasonable cost. Booking is advisable.
Items available for loan from the Kingston Community School Library Include fiction and non fiction books, hardcover and paperbacks for adults and children, magazines, CD's (both music and spoken word), large printbooks, videos and children's sporting equipment. Hear-a-books are available for those who are print impared.
Items have a three week loan period.
Baby Bounce and Rhyme
Come along to the Library and join in with our free fun sessions of Baby Bounce and Rhyme. These sessions are aimed at children 0-2 years, but big brothers and sisters are also very welcome as of course are parents, grandparents and caregivers.Baby Bounce and Rhyme is a lively, interactive and stimulating program, where parents and baby share songs, rhymes and actions to promote literacy skills.
Bring a rattle/musical instrument suitable for your baby to hold. These sessions are being held on every second Tuesday of every month from 9.30am - 10.30am.
Playgroup in Schools
Playgroup is held every Wednesday morning during term time (except for the first and last week of term) between 9.30am - 10.30 am. Meet at the library and join in our free sessions. The Playgroup in Schools (PinS) programme is designed to promote early learning for families with children aged birth to preschool. We have a focus on “learning in the everyday” so the sessions will be based around fun, relaxed activities that can also be enjoyed at home with your child.
