As the COVID-19 situation develops, Council will be adapting the way we do business to minimise the risk to the health and wellbeing of our community and staff..
As we implement preventative measures to ensure your safety, at close of business Wednesday 25 March 2020, services will be affected as follows:
Council Office
The office is closed for face-to-face contact. Our friendly staff will still be here to assist you, just from a distance. Contact can still be made via the following:

Council Depot
The Depot will be closed to the general public. Enquires can be made by phoning 08 8767 2033..
Visitor Information Outlet
The Visitor Information Outlet is closed for face-to-face contact. Staff will be available to provide visitor servicing and customer support by phone or email:

RV Parks
The Jetty and Pinks Beach RV Parks will be temporarily closed to all travellers, effective from 5.00pm, Thursday 26 March 2020. However, bookings will be accepted at the Kingston Foreshore Caravan Park for essential travellers in self-contained recreational vehicles who will be permitted to use unpowered sites for $10 for two nights (normal tariff applies after two nights).
Kingston Foreshore Caravan Park
In order to provide a safe space for those who need access to our park, we are no longer accepting bookings or arrivals for non-essential travel, effective from 5.00pm, Wednesday 25 March 2020.
All future bookings up until 31 May 2020 will be cancelled (except for ‘essential travel’).
Kingston Community School Library
The Library will be closed to the public from Tuesday 24 March 2020. Staff will be available to the provide our community with books, DVD’s and magazines via the following:

- You will receive notification when your items are available.
- Call the library to arrange a collection time.
- Items to be collected from our front door.
Online services remain available at https://onecard.network/client/en_AU/kingston/ . Alternatively, via the Libraries SA One Card App found in your app store.
Kerbside Bin Collection
Kerbside bin collections will continue as normal. Any enquires can be directed to Council’s contractor Veolia 08 8724 8121.
Waste Transfer Station
The Waste Transfer Station will continue to operate, however, staff will not be able to assist with unloading.
Kingston District Hall
The Kingston District Hall facility will be closed to the public until further notice.
Cemetery
Council’s cemeteries will remain open; however, visitors are asked to observe the Government’s social distancing recommendations. Funerals will be limited to no more than ten people.
Public Facilities
Public Toilets - Council has reduced the number of public toilet facilities available to the public. Those that remain open include - Apex Park, Lions Park, Town Hall and Cape Jaffa (adjacent Jetty).
Public BBQ’s – All public BBQ’s will not be operational until further notice.
Playground – All playgrounds will be closed until further notice.
Skate Park – The Kingston Skate park will be closed until further notice.
Airport
Services at the Kingston Airport remain unchanged.
