Bicycle and Walking Trails

When the children are done playing at the beach, the whole family can enjoy a walk, ride, run or scoot along the extensive interconnecting network of bicycle and walking trails. The trails run throughout the town centre, streets, Maria Creek Reserve and along the entire length of the foreshore.

The network offers sealed, all access and well-lit walking trails which provide safe walking options for people of all ages. A large proportion of the trails include sensor activated solar lighting, thus allowing the trails to be accessible anytime of the day or night.

There are plenty of places and space to enjoy, relax and unwind along the way. Trails boast large grassy areas, sea views, shaded spots, outdoor seating, play equipment, toilet facilities and electric BBQ’s; perfect for a picnic, game of cricket, kite flying, a kick of the football, or simply just resting your legs.

Unique offshoots throughout the trails allow you to discover Kingston’s history through through a self-guided tour of the Kingston Heritage Trail, 35 sites and buildings which take you back in time featuring beautiful photography and information.
