Council is committed to supporting local community groups to deliver projects and events that make a positive difference in the community. The Community Assistance Program (CAP) helps individuals, community organisations and sporting groups access funding to support projects that improve the local area and benefit the wider community.
Each year, Council provides funding through four different categories to help meet the diverse needs of our community and ensure fair distribution of available funds.
Please note: Due to the Council Elections in November 2026, the application timeframe for Council’s Community Assistance Program for the 2026–27 financial year has been brought forward so funding can be allocated before the caretaker period begins. CAP applications are open from 1 June to 31 July 2026.
